Olympic

1/ History of Olympic
     _The ancient Olympic Games were founded by Heracles, son of Zeus. The first Olympics held in 776BCE. The ancient Olympic Games grew and continued to be played every four years nearly for 1200 years. In 393 CE, the Roman emperor Theodosius abolished the Games because of their pagan influences
    
1500 years later, a young Frenchman Pierre de Coubertin began revival. Coubertin was born on January 1, 1863. He was only seven years old when France overruns by the Germans during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. In 1890, he organized and founded a sport organization, Union des Societies Francaises de Sports Athletiques (USFSA). Two years later, Coubertin first pitched his idea to revive the Olympic Games.

2/ The Ring
1.    The five rings represent five continents or major geographical of the world. The five main is Africa, The Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. The colors of the rings represent the flag of the countries that participate in the Olympics. Every flag of a country participate in the Olympic includes at least one of the following colors: blue, black, red, yellow, and green.

    5/The Olympic is a flame that is lit at the throughout the Olympic Games and put off when the games have concluded. This flame was first lit at an opening ceremony of the Olympic Games held in 1928 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

7/Vietnam’s Olympic silver megal-winning weightlifter Hoang Anh Tuan, he represented Vietnam’s best hope for a medal at the London Games.

8/A Palestinian terrorists called ‘Black September’ broke into the Olympic Village and took 11 Israeli athletes hostage. An attempt by the German army to rescue the hostage failed and all the hostages were killed. Five of the terrorists died and three were captured.
